Money is a really powerful thing – it has the power to help us destroy, or to massively improve the world, depending on how we handle it.
And business success (to me) is my enabler to walking my talk and help many others to live their ideal life worry free too.
I'm so passionate about this.
And believe if we all get better at managing our money while aligning financial choices to our unique and core values not only we, but the bigger world will be a much better place for us all.
In this new year we are often bombarded with motivational quotes like....
"Whether you think you can or you can't, your right" Henry Ford
"Do more of what makes you happy"
" An inch of action is worth more than a mile of good intentions"
"Change isn't going to happen in our life until we start making changes to our own lives"
Regardless of what gets you to act, The evidence we are a success” (again in my terms) is our ability and evidence of empowering ourselves and others to believe, act and stay on track. So not only we achieve and live our ideal life's we inspire and empower others to do so too.
To our clients and myself this success means
Simplifying financial success. After this base foundation financial independence is not that hard!
Removing the emotional, psychological, financial barriers impeding individuals success
Empowering each of us to act i.e. to heighten the chance of success
Doing more of the activities aligned to our core values so we all experience a higher quality of life
Enjoy work more because you are no longer doing it for the money!
Being empowered to follow your dreams and be more of your authentic self.
Have the choice and freedom to be more creative, present and adventurous.
This is great but "life is a journey, not a destination" Ralph Emerson
So over the years I've asked those who we're/are already living their ideal life about their journey while working and they common thread I heard was.....
The purpose of work is to create. It is to fuel your soul. Whereas the purpose of earning money is to have enough of the stuff.
So Marie Kondo maybe on to something beyond our home storage and wardrobes...
Does what you are doing spark joy in you?
and...
How much is enough?
The good news is… It’s entirely up to you.
It’s whatever you need to max out your happiness potential. After that, more money will not make you any happier.
Maybe you're not ready to appreciate this truth, Maybe this is your wake up call either way when you know you have and are enough When you do I encourage you to celebrate this day like a birth announcement and keep "working".
Because if you are still working on something even when you don’t need money, you have NO CHOICE but to do this work more truthfully and authentically.
And authenticity in and of itself is the most powerful form of self-motivation and marketing.
Customers smell it from miles away.
Why? Because If people sense that you’re not motivated by trying to extract as much money from them as possible, they come to realize that “holy shit – he’s doing this out of love”.
Which means you’ll make a bigger difference in the world, and those who engage you help will too.
Have a great 2019.
Authentically yours
Peter
