“Be More You”

One Story. One Lesson. One Action

One Story - "Fuck it all"

For years, I carried everyone else’s expectations: my clients, my staff, the media, and even the expectations of people closest to me. I measured myself by their approval, and every criticism — subtle or blunt — weighed me down.

Then I sold my business, bought a apartment in the Japanese Alps and now I spend 6+ months overseas each year adventuring and doing pretty much whatever the fuck I want.

And I’ve come to understand, for me, liberation isn’t about escaping responsibilities. It’s about letting go of the opinions that don’t serve me — even from the people I cared about deeply. Not from a place of anger, but permission. Permission to live my life on my own terms, unapologetically.

One Lesson- Do it Your Way

Trying to please everyone — even those closest to us — steals our energy, focus, and peace.

Saying “fuck it all” doesn’t mean you stop caring. It means you stop letting others’ opinions dictate your life. Freedom isn’t being without relationships; it’s being without their invisible chains.

When you release the need for external approval, you reclaim your clarity, your confidence, and the space to pursue what actually matters to you.

One Action- Be more You

Identify one opinion or expectation from someone close to you that’s been influencing your choices unnecessarily.

Today, mentally (or verbally) say your own “fuck it” Then take one small step to act in alignment with your values, not theirs.

  • Choose your path, even if it feels uncomfortable.

  • Make a decision without seeking validation.

  • Let one conversation, one choice, or one boundary reflect what you truly want.

Because when you stop letting others’ opinions run your life, you finally start living your own.
